This week, we've continued to learn about los animales in the selva amazónica, but we also learned about some animals that live in Ohio that are similar in some ways to the animals in the rainforest. We learned the names for bobcat (lince), which is similar to a jaguar, owl (búho), which is similar to a toucan, and bass (róbalo), which is similar to a piranha. See if your child can tell you why they're similar!
Next week, students will be writing about the animals in the rainforest and making a "National Geographic page" for their favorite animal. So, for extra practice at home, have your child practice describing the animals and telling where they live!
