Meet Señora Deprez
Me llamo Señora Deprez y soy maestra de español. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. This is my 18th year teaching Spanish and my 6th year at Stevenson. I graduated with a degree in Spanish from the College of Wooster and then began my teaching career at Hilliard Davidson High School where I taught Spanish I and II for 5 years. I then moved to Raleigh where I taught and developed Spanish curriculum at the K-2 level for 7 years. I love being a part of the Grandview Heights community and working to develop the Spanish curriculum!
I live in Hilliard with my husband Jim who teaches 3rd Grade. We have two beautiful daughters; Alexis and Riley. We also have 2 cats named Buddy and Brutus. Some of my favorite activities are reading, running, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and watching football. We are HUGE Ohio State fans!
I started learning Spanish in 6th grade, and fell in love with the language and culture right away. I have traveled to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Spain. During my Sophomore year of College, I had the opportunity to study in Córdoba, Spain for 4 months. It was an amazing experience.
