Third Grade Curriculum
Third Grade Spanish classes at RLS meet three times a week for 30-minutes. We will cover five thematic units, in addition to cultural content throughout the year. Here is a list of Third Grade units:
Identity Unit
What do I like?
Students will learn how to introduce and describe themselves, and to discuss their likes and dislikes.
Belonging Unit
Family and Friends
Students will learn how to talk about what they do with their family and friends.
Día de los Muertos Unit
Students will learn about the practices and perspectives surrounding the Latin American holiday of Day of the Dead.
Time and Place Unit
House
Students will use house vocabulary to describe their home and talk about what they do there.
Creativity Unit
Students will write their own original story in Spanish.
