Description of Activities
There are several different kinds of practice activities and resources that I will post for each unit. Below you will find a description of each:
Señora Deprez's Practice Activities
These are activities that I have created to practice the vocabulary words we learn in class. Activities range from vocabulary introduction, to flash card practice, to multiple choice practice. Many of the activities also incorporate sound so students are able to hear and practice correct pronunciation. Since these are uploaded as PowerPoint slideshows, they can only be viewed on a device that has PowerPoint installed.
Additional Practice Activities
These activities are at home ways for your child to practice the material we are learning in class. They are meant to be ways for students to apply their language skills in a creative way to complete both oral and written tasks. The activities listed were designed with student differentiation in mind so that all students should be able to find one (or more!) that appeal to their personal proficiency level and interests. Some of these activities can be done independently but I would always encourage students to share their work with someone else; whether that means reading a handmade book, singing a song, orally presenting their work, or simply teaching vocabulary words to someone else. I would also encourage students to share any projects done at home with me - I always love to see how students are using the language outside of the classroom!
Songs
These are links to songs that help learn and practice Spanish vocabulary. We will learn and sing some of these songs in class, and others are good for additional practice. Links are usually to YouTube versions of the song that provide pictures and words to help sing along.
Please keep in mind that it is always important to supervise online activity. I have personally checked these links and will continue to do so on a periodic basis, but I cannot guarantee that the addresses and/or content will not be changed. Please notify me at [email protected] if you notice that a link isn't working or displays inappropriate content.

Online Practice
Here you will find a list of Internet sites that provide students with ways to practice Spanish vocabulary at home. Underneath each link a brief description of the activity is given. The websites do not all require the same skill level. Some are more advanced than others, which means that all students will not have the same amount of success on all activities. However, students are welcome and even encouraged to do activities at home that challenge them.
Again, please remember to always supervise online activity. I have checked all of these websites and will continue to do so on a periodic basis, but I cannot guarantee that the addresses and/or content will not be changed.
